Oh my stars!

I'm back online after a much needed, though longer than expected, break.

Above, you can see the goodness that came from being offline over the past several weeks. My newly painted studio just shines, and I love walking into it now.

It's not finished, though. I still have the desk, bookcase and cabinets to paint and install. Then I need to organize everything on said items. That'll, I'm sure, take several more weeks, and I'll share some pics as things come together.

Like I said before, I've learned a lot by doing this project. One of the main things I've discovered is that blogging something such as this can be really hard when you have to work in the space where you write. I thought blogging my redo would give me some accountability, which it did, but I didn't realize how badly I would feel if I didn't blog on any given day, and I didn't realize how difficult it would be to get a post up after I took my computer offline.

Which brings me to another thing I've also figured out. I need to not promise to post about a specific subject at a particular time. I like having my subject days (Sketchbook Monday, Around Town Tuesday, etc.), and these will stay. All other blogging will be off-the-cuff, and I'm not going to promise you I will say something when I might not be able to follow through.

I will promise to keep my content (mostly) related to thrifting, crafting, art, parenting, gardening and home life. There. That's a promise I can keep.
