Things have finally settled down here, but oh what a ride we've had today! It looks as though we've had about two feet of snow in the past 24 hours. All of that has drifted in places to three or four feet deep.


To pass the time, we watched some movies, played with trains, read some books and tried to do some sledding. The snow was too deep for Alden's little sled, so he and I ran around the yard a little bit.


The northeast winds have created several cornices on the back of our house. They look as though they'll topple off at any minute. Amazing and beautiful!
