Okay. I'm a week in, and I'm not nearly as far as I wanted (or need) to be.

DAY 7
I managed to clean and remove the rug. In addition, I moved several bags of fabric and tons more books. I still have MORE books to take out, another shelf to dismantle, and miscellaneous flotsam and jetsam to gather up. Can you believe how much stuff I had crammed in here? Me neither.

I didn't move the bookcase to The Boy's room today, and I obviously didn't finish removing all the bits and bobs in here. So, tomorrow will be another day of removal. And, maybe I'll still take an exploratory peek above the ceiling.

Moving things back a day won't hurt much (unless all-that-is-a-remodeler's-worst-nightmare lurks in the dropped ceiling). I'm in good shape for demoing the ceiling this weekend, and I might get some sandpaper tomorrow to start attacking the cabinet.

Goals for WEEK 2: Remove last bit of stuff, cover remaining furniture with plastic, demo ceiling, prep walls and ceiling for paint, run wiring for new lights (if necessary), sand cabinet to prep for painting. That's not too much, right?
