Been awhile...

Since I wrote a post.

I have been super busy taking full advantage of the sunny weather that finally turned up on our doorstep. (I promise not to exploit it too much!) Anyhoo, I've been a garden hoe-ing machine, and finally have most everything planted. I know it's a bit late, but I'm still going to cross my fingers, and throw some more seeds in.

On the writing front, the place I had been writing for decided to close up shop. So, I've been preparing story lists and contact info. Come this fall, when the outdoors sings less of a siren song, I will be happily sending out query letters in the hopes of getting writing gigs.

It would be really nice to work on four or five projects a month, eventually. I'll need to make more per project, so I'll need to build up a reputation to take in higher amounts per word or project. I think it's doable, though. I could easily make what I was making at The Daily Press in a month without going crazy trying to also take care of the house and the Bub.

Speaking of Bub, AJ uploaded more photos of our sweet little guy. He's such a ham! I've been thinking of sending his picture down to some of the modeling agencies in the Twin Cities. After doing some research, child modeling seems as though it could be a big hassle, but I might at least give it a try. I think it could be fun, even if he just gets enough money to start a savings account (modeling does not usually pay enough to cover college tuition these days).

Alden can really move now. He's grabbing his toes (and anything else he can get his hands on), and into his mouth they go! He's also babbling a lot - especially when he gets tired. It seems as though he's working on a couple more teeth, too. So, lots of growing to do when you are only 6 months old!

Well, it's time to put the chickens to bed, let out the dogs, and get ready for AJ's first Father's Day tomorrow! Good night!
