Takes a licking and keeps on getting soaked

I realize now how difficult it will be to start my writing business. It's not as if I don't want to do it. It's not as though I haven't already put in many long hours ferreting out good places to find real writing gigs, reading the latest on cooperating and polishing a tight business plan that will never be graced by anyone else's eyes. It's a time thing.

Every day I come home from work and I'm confronted with a crumbling (but cool) old house, 35 hungry chickens, 7 starving cats and 3 cross-legged, got-go-right now dogs. So, we do chores. AJ has taken on the bulk of them since I'm carrying around the little beestling-to-be. But I still need to collect eggs and feed the cats, figure out what to quiet my grumbling tummy and engage my senses for the evening.

I think I just need to adjust my schedule so I'm doing some of my writing work during the day. For instance, I currently read the Duluth News Tribune on my lunch break, and then take a walk. If I exchange reading for writing, I could finish the business plan in a week. AND, I could walk in the morning, before work, if I go to bed earlier. Plus, I could make 7-8 p.m. my business time. It's after dinner, so that won't get in the way, and it also leaves time afterward for reading, writing, cleaning, snuggling, game playing, etc.

And so, it begins...again!
