speechless
I'm sitting here, watching the radar. A gigantic storm formed in the Dakotas last night and has proceeded to march across Minnesota and Wisconsin today. Are we getting any of it? No!
Nearly the entire southern part of Wisconsin is covered in green, rainy goodness, and there sits our little northern sliver, as brown as it is in real life. The northern bit of the storm actually disappears as it heads toward us. It's surreal - kind of like we have some sort of anti-rain forcefield around us.
For the record, the last time we had any measurable rain was on July 26. Only one more week and we will have gone an entire month with no significant rainfall. I'm starting to hope for a ton of snow this winter, even if it turns mud season into need-a-boat-to-reach-the-road season.
