We made our annual sojourn to Don's Berry Patch today. Right during lunch and nap time. It was a slightly abbreviated trip.

I picked the bulk of the 10 pounds of strawberries we came home with because AJ had to chase Alden around the entire edge of a 40 acre field. Yeah, it was like that. AJ managed to wrangle The Boy long enough to pick some berries with me, and then we headed home - for lunch and a nap, of course.

I planned to make some strawberry jam with all these berries, but I ran out of pectin. So, I'm flash freezing them. Maybe I'll jam next weekend.
