A new year, a new me?
I hope you had a swell New Year's Eve. As per tradition, AJ and I went to bed before the bell struck the happy hour. We did, however, head over to our friend's farm for some food (plenty of dips, chips and veggies - mmm!) and some wine (yeah, another mmm!) before checking out at a little past 9 p.m.
At dawn this morning, we awoke to this sight out the front window:
Snow! Really! And it's stayed all day! We didn't play much in it though since we seem to be in the midst of (another) round of stomach flu. I'm hoping to get out tomorrow with The Boy (who seems to be feeling better) to build his first snow man.
Tomorrow, I will also deliver an action packed retelling of the Great 2006 Christmas Tour of the Upper Midwest and New York (With pictures!! And exclamation points!! And parenthetical phrases!!). It was all (mostly) good, and we put over 2700 miles on our minivan (we pushed the total number of miles on the Red Barron up to 235,000) in just 10 days. Guess what? We did't drive any where today.
As for resolutions, I don't like to make them too specific, but I feel the need for some serious changes. I plan to love more, craft more, laugh more and hang out with friends more in the new year. I also want to consume less soda, eat fewer sweets and spend less time staring at this box. That is all.
