a full day ... a full life

While I don't have any photos of work-in-progress or finished projects to share with you, I can relate the details of a wonderfully full day.

Today was a day for catching up with friends. First, we saw Krista, who I haven't seen in three weeks. We planned a hike for tomorrow and discussed reviving the craft nights we started three years ago. I've missed hanging out with her, and can't wait to fill our winter with entertaining visits that include baking sugary cookies and creating who-knows-what.

Then, after running errands well into the afternoon, we wandered over to Willow Run Farm for a good, long visit with Lee and Helen. Lee made a tasty homemade tomato sauce and AJ cooked up his famous, kick-ass garlic bread. The wine flowed, as did the laughter.

I told Krista this morning that I've learned a really good lesson this year. While it's hard to do, life is so much more enjoyable if you live in the moment. And so, I am. I am loving my hubby, my son, my home, my family, my friends, my art and my life ... one day at a time.
