Thrifty goodness

Can you tell I found the cord for my camera? lol

Here we have my haul from yesterday's thrifting adventures.

1) I've always loved the classic Pyrex mixing bowls, and had hoped to find a set. The blue one is the smallest from the set at 1 1/2 pints. The little white bowl inside that is not Pyrex, but still cute. These will be cache pots in my studio.

2) The melon-colored casserole is an Anchor Hocking FireKing piece. These things are apparently highly collectible, and I think I might try my hand at selling on eBay or in a booth at the antique mall in Duluth. So, this came home with me for that reason.

3) The orange flower pot matches my linen blanket and orange walls. It will give a zap of orangey-goodness to my living room.

4) Finally, the bestest find of the day: the star plates. Anyone who has eaten at our house knows we have a set of these. AJ grew up with this pattern, and we started with six plates. Over the years, two have broken. Last month I found saucers and dessert plates in this pattern at the same store. Now, I found two replacement dinner plates! Yahoo!

I also visited the Book Nook (our library's used book shop), and found a mathematics book for collage and a machine embroidery book with the most amazing textile art in it. I can't wait to use both of them.
