Happy Blogday!

I do believe I am going to officially declare Fridays "Blogday."

I've been thinking about abandoning this thing (again), but have decided to keep plodding along (again). It's nice to have a writing outlet where I can come pour out some thoughts. However, to make it interesting for the few readers I have out there, I need to update more frequently and make my posts, uh, more interesting.

So, here I am on the first Blogday with nary an interesting thing to say.

I've discovered that being around kids all day has stolen my ability to hold down an adult conversation. Sure, I can say, "Did you see in the news that...?" and blather about the intricacies of domestic goddessism (ha!). I really would like other things to talk about, though.

Perhaps I need to get out without the Kid for a few hours each week. I have no idea what I would do with myself, but I'm sure I could figure out something. I'd really like to go to an art show, so maybe I can get up to Duluth soon to check out what's hanging at the University gallery. Of course, I could bring Alden with me for something like that (defeats the purpose, but is oh-so-easy since he's so well-behaved).

Maybe I could join a book-club. I don't know of any...ooooo!!! Maybe I should start a book club! I could do it with all my mommy friends...who don't have time to read...gah! Maybe it would be a good way to reconnect with all my non-mommy friends. I can think of a handful of women who could be fun to chat with sans babies. It would be nice to get all literary again.

Yes! A book club sounds like a good solution. Now to set it up, and pick some books...any suggestions?
