Traipsing through the woods ...
on a Sunday afternoon.
It was a glorious day here, and we did our usual Sunday cruise on the backroads through the forest near our home.
Today we hiked the Clay Lake trail in the Chequamegon National Forest.
We wandered through a beautiful decidious forest on our way to Buffo Lake. Once there, we spent quite awhile lounging in the afternoon sun, and Alden took a brief dip in the lake when mommy looked away for one-whole-second. Oops! Alden also really loved the swishing of the leaves - so much so that he ran through the woods. And, yes, that is a lovely rime of ice on the lake which didn't break when I skipped stones across it.
All told, a most-wonderful November day!
What did you do this weekend?
