I really tried to do ornaments today ... really. This is the first one after about an hour of work. I think it's a lovely start, but I lost steam on the edges because the fabric kept bunching up under the presser foot (and the metallic thread held true to its reputation for being a pain). I think I will be making little stuffed stars, after all. I'll just stitch this to a bit of fabric backing (I have some gold and black brocade that I need to use up), stuff it, stick on some bells and call it good, methinks. All told, it should be about an hour per star. Eep! I think I'll get them all cut out during naptime tomorrow, and sew them during the rest of this week.

What do you think? Like or dislike? Any suggestions?
