Yeah...so I haven't posted in a while.

It's mostly because I've been gone (I surprised my folks by driving all the way to New York and showing up on their doorstep for their anniversary and Mom's birthday). It's also partly because I've been busy (creating my writing Web site so I can get some $$), and because I haven't felt like writing anything for my blog.

I have been writing. A lot. I have a ton of articles to send queries out for. Most of them are about gardening and parenting (both easy sells). So, we'll see where that goes.

I'm also trying to establish a local outlet for my writing with the newspaper. When I worked there, I always had a terrible time finding editorial content for the special sections. So, I asked the ad manager if he would be interested in my writing in exchange for some advertising. He said maybe. I'll find out more next week.

If I can advertise in the paper, I'm going to do a $50 resume special. I'll rewrite resumes for people for $50. They'll be able to choose a template for me to layout their resume in, and then I'll deliver it as a pdf by E-mail or cd. Then they will be able to take it to the local print shop to have it put on nice paper. I'm trying to decide if I want to do cover letters too. We'll see.
