"Meagan Van Beest? You just won $100!"

I've had a pretty busy, but fun, day so far.

I'm writing a couple gardening articles (including how to build a scarecrow). These have me itching to get into the dirt. I'll be sending out my seed order this week. It feels so late, but I'm sure everything will be fine.

I've also hung out with the Bub a bunch since he has been awake. We read Sarah Boynton's books (hilarious!), played peekaboo, tickled his belly and sang "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star" a whole lot. He's so bubbly now. Once he gets "talking" it doesn't seem like he'll ever stop!

Besides my son's adorable grins, I also received a phone call from the local supermarket telling me I won a $100 gift certificate. I hardly ever go shopping anymore, but the last time I went in, I saw they were having a drawing. I quickly signed up, but didn't look at what the prizes really were (I think the grand prize might have been a slim, flat-screen tv). I was fairly surprised to win.

I'm thinking of using the money for stuff we can store for a while. Perhaps some tofu, flour, frozen veggies, and maybe some pasta sauce. Oh! Diapers! We'll get some of those, too.

Well, I need to get back to my to do list and paying writing. Ciao for now!
